Privacy Policy
Updated 22 September 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy is about brave-browser.co — this intro site. It covers the about page, the download guide, and the rest of what we publish here.
It is not the privacy policy for the Brave app, Brave Search, Leo, Wallet, Talk, or anything else Brave Software ships. Those have their own rules on Brave’s site.
2. Relationship to Brave
We’re not part of Brave Software, Inc., and they didn’t ask us to speak for them. The support links in the footer — community.brave.app, user-support@brave.com, and the rest — are Brave’s public channels. Putting them here doesn’t mean we collect mail for Brave, or that those inboxes land with us.
3. Information that may be processed
This is mostly a static site. There are no accounts, comments, or payments, and we don’t usually ask for your name, phone, or email.
To serve pages, the host or server environment may keep access logs. Those logs commonly include:
- Time of the request
- Page path
- Browser type and general device information
- Referrer, if present
- IP address
That’s ordinary server logging so the site stays up and we can look into abuse or outages. It isn’t used to build a profile of you.
4. How that information is used
If such logs or similar technical data exist, they are used only to:
- Keep the Site available and readable
- Handle security incidents, unusual traffic, or outages
- Run very limited visit statistics to see whether pages load
The Site does not sell personal information and does not use access logs for targeted advertising.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site does not currently set advertising or cross-site profiling cookies. Your browser may still store its own display preferences, and the network stack may create short-lived technical records. You can manage cookies in your browser; that may change how some pages look, but it usually does not stop you from reading the introduction.
6. Third-party sites and download links
Download buttons, support-community links, and some references may send you to Brave’s official site, an app store, or another third party. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Once you leave this Site, that third party is responsible for what happens next. Read Brave’s official privacy materials before you download, install, or use the product.
7. Retention
Log retention follows the host’s ordinary operations and security needs. The Site does not maintain a separate long-term user database.
8. Sharing
Identifying information is not provided to unrelated third parties except:
- When hosting, DNS, or static-file delivery providers process access data as part of their job
- When required by law, or to respond to a lawful security or enforcement request
9. Children
This Site is product information. It is not intended to collect personal information from children. Minors should use internet services with a guardian’s guidance.
10. Your choices
You can stop visiting the Site. You can also use private browsing, cookie settings, or blocking extensions in your browser. Those are general browser controls and do not change the fact that this Site is a static introduction.
Privacy settings inside Brave Browser should be managed in the Brave client or on Brave’s official website, not through this Site.
11. Updates
If the way this Site handles information changes in a material way, this page will be updated, including the date above. Continued use of the Site means you have seen the revised notice.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy concern brave-browser.co only. Questions about Brave’s products, accounts, sync, Rewards, Wallet, or official support should go through Brave’s own channels, such as community.brave.app.
